Quantum physics has revolutionized our understanding of the universe, as well as our LACK of understanding of it!
Dr. Bobbs will present the philosophical mysteries of quantum physics in a way that is understandable to any adult, regardless of science or math background (or lack thereof).
Topics covered in Part a include how science impacts philosophy, what a quantum really is, the ultraviolet catastrophe, quantum leaps, and wave-particle duality.
Replete with cartoons, jokes, trivia, historical and personal anecdotes, and audience participation, the lectures promise to be entertaining as well as enlightening.
The lectures are aimed at adults, but would also be understood by exceptionally inquisitive teens.

Dr. Bobbs holds a PhD in Physics from UCLA and a BS in Physics from Harvey Mudd College. He has a long career researching laser and electro-optical physics, and has been Adjunct Professor of Physics at Moorpark College and California Lutheran University.
He is also known for his poetry performances, particularly when portraying Edgar Allan Poe.
He lives in Redondo Beach.
