Photographers of Miami: Ready to take your photos to the next level with editing?
Join Lex Barberio (@lexbarberio) for a hands-on Lightroom class designed for beginner to intermediate photographers who want to build real editing skills — not just click around and hope for the best.
Everything you need to start editing with confidence will be covered:
• Lightroom Setup – Get your catalog and workspace organized so your workflow is clean from the start
• Basic Editing – Learn the core adjustment tools: exposure, contrast, white balance, and more
• Color Grading – Give your images a consistent, intentional look
• Light Retouching – Clean up your shots with simple, effective retouching techniques
• Exporting – Get your images export-ready for print, web, or client delivery
Photos will be provided for the lesson, but bring a few of your own — there'll be time set aside for an independent edit so you can apply what you've learned to your own work.
Requirements:
• Laptop
• Lightroom Classic installed (not the cloud-based version)
• A few of your own photos, ready to edit
Duration: ~ 3 hours

About the host:
Lex Barberio (@lexbarberio) is a Miami-based queer artist whose work blurs the line between dreams and reality. Through photography, collage, and experimental printing, Lex creates whimsical, immersive narratives that transform images into experiences. With roots in both fine art and advertising, they’ve crafted campaigns for brands like ESPN, Pepsi, and Adidas while exhibiting at the Museum of Contemporary Art Long Island, the High Line, and World Pride. Recognized by NBC as one of “12 Queer Artists Whose Work is Making Us Pay Attention,” Lex bridges conceptual storytelling and visual branding, making photography feel magical and alive beyond the frame.
