Photography for Beginners Workshop at Provan Hall
About this Event
Using your own camera (or even just a phone) spend an autumnal morning at the atmospheric Provan Hall getting to grips with some of the key skills needed to take great pictures, regardless of your style.
This class will cover the nuts and bolts of photography:
- Changing the aperture to play with depth of field,
- Using shutter speed to document movement or freeze action,
- Changing the ISO to reduce 'noise',
- White Balance: learn to colour correct as you take your image,
- Experimenting with techniques to find the perfect composition
Provan Hall is a late medieval mansion house in the North East of Glasgow which is set amongst woodlands and gardens. It provides a space to explore both indoor and outdoor photography depending on your interests and the weather.
Hassan Nezamian is a photographer with over 10 years of experience and who has taken part in projects across the globe. He runs regular workshops with the Glasgow Photography Group in landscape, portrait and street photography and we are delighted to have him with us at Provan Hall.
