This class provides a clear, hands-on introduction to photography fundamentals in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Students will learn how their camera works, how to control light, and how to make intentional creative choices while shooting. This class is a two class help on February 22nd 10-1 and March 1st 10-1.
What to expect to learn in this class:
Camera types: phone, point-and-shoot, DSLR, and mirrorless
Lenses: prime vs zoom, focal length, and lens features
Exposure basics: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO
The exposure triangle and how settings work together
Shooting modes and when to use them
Composition fundamentals
Understanding and using available light
Real-world shooting techniques and creative decision-making
Materials needed:
Any camera you own (point-and-shoot, DSLR, or mirrorless)
Charged battery and memory card (if applicable)
Notebook and pen (optional)
Skill level:
Beginner / Novice
Designed for beginners using phones through DSLR or mirrorless cameras
