About this Event
A common misconception holds that focal lengths for landscape photography are best kept to a traditional range that does not stray far from a normal field of view because this is a natural sweet spot. The reality is that even traditional focal lengths can be difficult to master without a clear understanding of their inherent characteristics, and a good awareness of them can unlock massive potential for working with more extreme focal lengths as well. In this wide-ranging presentation, Erin Babnik will present a variety of scenarios that you can seek out to get compelling results from any lens that you want to carry outdoors.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Erin Babnik is known internationally as a leading photographic artist, educator, author, and speaker. She is honored to be a Canon Explorer of Light and a member of the illustrious nature photography team Photo Cascadia. Erin’s dedication to the medium of photography evolved out of her years in art school and later through a doctoral education in the history of art. In her writing and public speaking, she explores topics with a unique blend of art historical, philosophical, and instructional ideas, an approach that has made her one of the most highly requested speakers among the current generation of landscape photographers.
