Photo Meet-Up at Spring Lake Park Reserve

Join National Camera for a summer photo meet-up at Spring Lake Park Reserve in Hastings, MN, on Wednesday, July 22. We'll meet as a group near the Schaar’s Bluff Gathering Center at 6pm before heading out on Schaar’s Bluff Trailhead. We’ll keep an eye out for wildlife along the wooded trail and hike to the overlook to take in scenic views of the Mississippi River valley.

Whether you shoot digital or film, bring your camera, get inspired, and spend the evening exploring alongside fellow photography enthusiasts. Expert staff from National Camera will be on-site to answer questions and offer guidance along the way.

This is a free event, open to all experience levels. Registration is required.

Be Prepared: This is an outdoor event, rain or shine, on a dirt trail. We recommend weather-appropriate clothing and shoes suited for walking on a dirt trail. Additional items to bring include bug spray, water, and a rain sleeve in case of unexpected weather. Pack extra batteries, memory cards, and film — just in case!

Additional Park Info: Schaar's Bluff sits atop the bluffs of Spring Lake Park Reserve, offering some of the most scenic overlooks of the Mississippi River valley in the Twin Cities metro area.

This is a low-impact photography event: Equipment must be hand-carried at all times, no tripods. This event is intended for amateur/hobbyist photography. Professional photography requires a permit through the park.
