Vanessa Amara:
Vanessa Amara is a Danish duo consisting of Birk Gjerlufsen and Sebastián Santillana. Their music is purposely difficult to classify, working within a patchwork of playful absurdity andcontemporary classical and experimental music. Through their distinct blend of classical music samples and chopped-up vocals, they write fragmented pop song.
Released through the Copenhagen-based Posh Isolation label, their work invites listeners into auniverse both elusive and captivating, a space where the past and future converse in an ever-evolving dialogue.
They’ve also brought their distinct, textural approach to other artists, including Two Shell and on Rosalía’s LUXinklusiv“La Perla,” “Sexo, Violencia y Llantas,” og “Magnolias.”

Albert Hertz:
You may know him from the now-defunct solo project Aperly High or as a driving force in various bands and projects on the Danish underground scene.
Albert Hertz has been beating around the bush for almost a decade, and is now finally ready to make his debut as a solo artist under his own name.
He does so with the release of his debut single “String Life” (18 February) and the follow-up “Lucky Luke” (17 March), heralding an upcoming album and a series of gigs ranging from venues to theatres. And now also on Phono.
Albert Hertz writes songs about drama and spectacle, presence and resonance. The music is characterised by 90s-inspired indie-folk and alternative rock, which relates to itself both within and outside the brackets. Dusty and clear at the same time. In contrast to Hertz’s earlier projects, which were characterised by playful maximalism and extroverted live shows, the expression has matured into a previously unheard-of honesty and intimacy from the experienced songwriter. The layers have been peeled away, the mask has fallen.
The songs will be presented on 17 April in a duo format with one accompanying musician.
