PHOENIX LOVE ist das neue Bandprojekt der Sängerin und Komponistin Dora Osterloh.
Die Musik verbindet konkrete Songelemente mit freier Improvisation und persönlich-abstrakten Lyrics. Dora Osterloh, Theresia Philipp, Keisuke Matsuno, Simon Jermyn und Lukas Akintaya sind kreative Akteur*innen der Kölner und Berliner Jazzszene und dort in unterschiedlichsten Konstellationen und Bands zu erleben. Mit PHOENIX LOVE bilden sie ein eigenständiges Ensemble, welches sowohl die freigeistige Spielhaltung der Improvisation, als auch emotionale Einfühlsamkeit in die Kompositionen und Texte mitbringt.
Dora Osterlohs Stimme bewegt sich spielerisch zwischen instrumentalem, geräuschhaftem und gesanglichem Ausdruck. So entsteht ein außergewöhnlicher Bandsound, geprägt von rhythmischer Komplexität, melodischer und harmonischer Tiefe und sphärischen Klanglandschaften.
Das erste Album von PHOENIX LOVE wird 2026 veröffentlicht.

PHOENIX LOVE is the new band project of singer and composer Dora Osterloh.
The music combines concrete song elements with free improvisation and personal-abstract lyrics. Dora Osterloh, Theresia Philipp, Keisuke Matsuno, Simon Jermyn and Lukas Akintaya are creative players in the Cologne and Berlin jazz scene and can be experienced in various constellations and bands. With PHOENIX LOVE they form an independent ensemble, which brings both the free-spirited playing attitude of improvisation and emotional empathy to the compositions and lyrics. Dora Osterloh’s voice moves playfully between instrumental, noisy and singing expression. This creates an extraordinary band sound, characterized by rhythmic complexity, melodic and harmonic depth and spherical soundscapes.
PHOENIX LOVE’s first album will be released in 2026.
