Philosophies of English: Aesthetic & Ethical Dimensions

The first in a series of three seminars working at the intersection of Education Studies, English, and Philosophy of Education. This seminar will address issues of ethics and aesthetics in relation to English studies. The event will begin with presentations from Julia Bell (Birckbeck), Professor Robert Eaglestone (Royal Holloway), Dr. Áine Mahon (University College Dublin). The series is funded by the Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain, in conjunction with BA/Leverhulme, and it is hosted by the Institute for Research in Education at the University of Bedfordshire.
