KOSER is an award-winning alternative rock band known for fusing brooding textures with soulful vocals. The Philly group draws from post-punk, grunge, and electronic influences. Think- Thin Lizzy guitar, Amy Winehouse contralto, and a helping of Radiohead. Their music balances heavy, cinematic atmospheres with razor-sharp hooks and simple,honest lyricism. Formed in 2022, KOSER is made up of 5 virtuosos who’ve toured both coasts, aired locally and nationally, and headlined numerous festivals. Faint Halos’ soulful indie rock blends literate, introspective songwriting with rich, textured arrangements to explore modern anxieties and timeless hopes with unflinching honesty. The four-piece Philly band was born in the aftermath of the global pandemic and built from songcraft and musicianship in equal measure. In a live setting, their songs create their own gravity, pulling the audience into a shared orbit. Recommended for fans of The National, The War on Drugs, and Wilco who appreciate music with grit and grace.

The Bret Tobias Set. Bret cut his teeth co-fronting the Bigger Lovers, a Philly guitar pop group that swung for the fences in the aughts. The Lovers got four stars from David Fricke in Rolling Stone, opened for Wilco, got panned in Pitchfork, recorded a World Cafe and built a respectable fanbase one bespectacled dude at a time.
Bret re-emerged in 2023 with a set of sharply observed and slightly dyspeptic contenders via the Pleaser EP. The Butter Valley Malcontent EP followed a year later.
Happiness Writes White, the second single from a yet-to-be named full length record, was released in June 2025 and features a cameo from Marty Wilson-Piper from The Church.
Bret sings and plays guitar. Krista Umile sings and plays strings and keys. Mike Kennedy bangs drums. Jeff Tanner plays guitar. Tracy Stanton thumbs the bass.
