2025 marks 36 years together for this New York-based 3-piece rockin' blues band whose Stevie Ray Vaughan/Hendrix influences can be easily recognized. While the bands typical critically acclaimed "concert set" includes almost all original music plus a few songs which pay tribute to those who have inspired them ...at this concert, just 2 days after what would have been his 71st birthday, the audience will be treated to a selection of Stevie Ray Vaughan tunes presented in an authentic and passionate way, as only a true SRV-disciple like Phil Varca could do.
PERFORMER BIO:
Phil Varca & The Slam Jammers (PVSJ) are an original group based in Long Island, NY and have been together for over 35 years, playing their brand of Rockin' Blues and Blues/Rock. The trio has played a few thousand shows of all types/sizes. The past few years they have focused primarily on festivals and support/opening slots for national touring acts. PVSJ most recently supported Indigenous on their last tour as well as Robin Trower locally on his last two tours. Their additional billings/appearances include Buddy Guy, Joe Bonamassa, Foghat, Chris Duarte, Dave Mason, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, NRBQ, Double Trouble, Shemekia Copeland and Popa Chubby.
