Phat Tire to The Farm: Bikepacking Overnighter
About this Event
Join us October 24–25 for an overnight gravel ride from Phat Tire Bella Vista to The Farm Campground & Events in Eureka Springs.
This ride is designed as an approachable introduction to bikepacking. You do not need a full bikepacking setup to join us. We’ll have a gear shuttle van available for tents, sleeping bags, extra clothes, and other overnight gear, so you can ride lighter and get a feel for what an overnight bike trip is all about.
We’ll meet at Phat Tire Bella Vista Saturday morning, with the van ready for gear loading at 9:00 AM and wheels down at 10:00 AM.
The ride will be at a social pace, with the group staying together. Expect gravel, plenty of climbing, and roughly four hours of actual ride time each way at around a 10 mph pace. This is a “ride what you have” kind of gravel adventure, but make sure you and your bike are realistically prepared for the mileage and elevation.
Along the route, we’ll have two good resupply options if the group needs them. Garfield has a Dollar General with a restroom, water fountain, and supplies, while Seligman has a full gas station next to a Harps grocery store.
Once we arrive at The Farm, we’ll be camping in a reserved primitive camping area near a pavilion with limited access to electricity.
Your $15 registration includes:
- Primitive camping
- Chili dog dinner Saturday night
- Campfire
- Coffee Sunday morning
- Gear shuttle fuel and support
Breakfast Sunday morning, along with your ride snacks, lunch, and hydration for both days, will be your responsibility.
The van is for transporting overnight gear only. It is not intended as a rider pickup or bailout vehicle. Space is limited, so pack thoughtfully. Riders should bring their own camping and sleep setup, although sharing tents with friends is absolutely fine.
Sunday morning we’ll load the van, roll out from The Farm around 10:00 AM, and ride the same route back to Phat Tire Bella Vista.
Helmets and a basic repair kit are required. Your repair kit should include a spare tube or tubeless plugs, pump or CO₂, tire levers, and a basic multi-tool. Lights are strongly recommended.
E-bikes are welcome, but make sure you are confident in your bike’s range for the route.
Registration is limited to 20 riders.
Come ride some gravel, spend a night around the fire, and get a taste of bikepacking without needing every piece of bikepacking gear under the sun.
