Join us in Downtown Marshalltown on Monday, September 8 from 4:30–5:30 PM as we celebrate the completion of Phase One with a special Grand Opening event!This event consists of:
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – Help us officially open this exciting new phase.
Guided Back-In Parking Demonstrations – Our very own Marshalltown Police Department will help demonstrate the new back-in angled parking!
Free Paletas – Thanks to Emerson's Somos Employee Resource Group & Marshalltown Central Business District, you can enjoy a refreshing treat while you explore Phase 1!
Paint-a-Brick Station - Come paint a brick that was restored from the street! These will be displayed across the landscaping around parts of the new sidewalk.
* The bricks will be displayed until Spring of 2026. You'll be able to retrieve your brick when they are taken out!
While you’re here, make the most of your evening by shopping and dining at our wonderful downtown businesses. From unique shops to delicious local restaurants, there’s plenty to enjoy right in the district before or after the celebration.
