The 18th annual Philadelphia General Hospital (PGH) Lecture Series in collaboration with the J. Mark and Ann Claffey Baiada Professorship in Nursing & Home Health Care presents "School Safety From a School Nurse's Perspective: A Public Health Approach to Stemming Gun Violence" by Robin Cogan, MEd, RN, NCSN, FNASN, FAAN.
Robin is a Nationally Certified School Nurse with 24 years of experience in the Camden City School District, New Jersey. She serves as the New Jersey Director for the National Association of School Nurses and is a Johnson & Johnson School Health Leadership Fellow. Robin has received numerous awards, including the 2019 and 2020 National Association of School Nurses President’s Award and the 2018 NCSN School Nurse of the Year. She teaches in the School Nurse Certificate Program at Rutgers University-Camden and writes a weekly blog, The Relentless School Nurse.
The lecture will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025 in the Bayada Auditorium on the 2nd floor of the Rocco Abessinio Building. This lecture is open to Neumann and PGH alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and the community.
1.5 CEU credits pending approval will be given to those that attend the lecture and are registered nurses.
