Players Guild of Dearborn will be offering a winter session of dance classes in early 2025. We are very excited to TWO levels of Tap Dance this session! Tap Basics Class
Tap dance is often seen on the Guild stage in musicals. This class is designed for those who plan to audition for future musicals and want to brush up on their skills as well as anyone who wants to learn tap technique. Learning to tap will assist participants in learning choreography for any show as well as improve overall rhythm and musicality. It is also a great way to stay active and have fun!
The Tap Basics class will be run just like the past PGD Tap classes and will teach technique and short tap combinations. It is perfect for all levels who would like to improve the cleanliness of their taps and focus on technique, and for tappers who simply want to keep moving.
Saturdays, 9:30-10:30am
6 weeks, January 25 – March 1, 2025
Tuition: $65 per person; discounted rate of $50 per person for PGD Members

Tap Onward Class
This class is designed for tappers who would like to progress beyond the basic technique and simple combinations. It is open to everyone, however it is recommended for those who have taken one or more of PGD’s tap classes already or have other experience in tap technique.
The Tap Onward class will focus on applying basic technique to choreography and movement reading. The class will include more advanced, longer combinations with intricate rhythms. It is designed for those who have a good understanding of basic tap technique and are looking for a challenge.
Saturdays, 10:45-11:45am
6 weeks, January 25 – March 1, 2025
Tuition: $65 per person; discounted rate of $50 per person for PGD Members

Space is limited, so please register asap if you are interested. Tuition must be paid prior to January 25, 2025. Registration is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is considered complete when the registration form and tuition have both been received.

No refunds will be given for missed classes
Should a class need to be cancelled by PGD, every effort will be made to schedule a make-up class
