PGCDCC District 5 Congressional Candidates Forum

The Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee (PGCDCC) is hosting the Congressional District 5 Forum to provide a critical platform for voters during a "defining moment" for the region. With long-time Representative Steny Hoyer retiring after more than 40 years, the forum serves to ensure the community remains informed, engaged, and connected to the process of deciding upon the next District 5 Reprentative.

Why We Are Hosting This Forum -

The race is a pivotal opportunity to determine who will represent the district's unique interests in Congres.

This forum will allow residents to hear directly from candidates about their visions for District 5 , focusing on issues like economic opportunity, healthcare affordability, and social justice.

The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, 2026, and will be moderated by acclaimed journalist April Ryan. PGCDCC looks forward to presenting a number of audience engagement opportunities.
