About the Artists:
Benjamin Chandler & Kate Gaffney: A Collision of Craft and Kinship Benjamin Chandler is an accomplished acoustic folk and Americana singer-songwriter with over 25 years of music-making. Ben combines fingerstyle and bluegrass techniques to create a sound rooted in the traditions of Bob Dylan, James Taylor, and Doc Watson. His latest album, The Pebble in the Drum, adds to a discography that spans multiple releases. His live shows continue to captivate audiences with heartfelt performances and a timeless musical approach. Mingling Americana and jam band sensibilities with the folk traditions of the '60s and '70s, Kate Gaffney brings honest vulnerability and poetic grace to songs that groove with funk & soul. Kate has opened for touring acts like Richie Havens, Todd Snider, and Sophie B. Hawkins and has released four albums, most recently, Here by the Ocean. The duo was born out of a collision of two lifers—musicians who have spent decades navigating the road, the grind, and the craft. Together, they channel the haunting, sparse elegance of Welch and Rawlings and the cosmic-Americana heartbreak of Gram and Emmylou, yet they land on a sound that is singular, modern, and deeply lived-in. https://www.facebook.com/benjaminchandlermusic https://www.kategaffney.com/
