Volunteers/Marchers Needed for PFLAG GP at RI Pride Fest and the Illuminated Night Parade on June 20th!
We are seeking volunteers to assist us primarily at RI Pride Fest in Providence on June 20th. It's easy and fun. All we ask is that you commit to a 2-hour shift any time from 12 noon to 6 p.m. We will provide you with a free PFLAG t-shirt. The tasks involve handing out our famous ribbon pins and talking to folks about PFLAG and providing them with the literature we will have available along with some PFLAG swag. Talking about PFLAG is easy, as others who have volunteered before will attest. Everyone catches on very quickly! Come out and join us for a fun day at Pride Fest and if you can make it, also join us for the Illuminated Night Parade!
We are looking for marchers to walk with us along the parade route. It's an easy walking route that is a little under a mile and relatively flat. If you want to march in the parade, but are not able to work at our booth, that's okay too. You will still get a PFLAG t-shirt while supplies last. Help us show our PFLAG Power!
