It’s National Pet Day - So we’re celebrating with a special
Pets on the Patio event at the River & Rail!
The Grand River Arts Walk trail runs through our new farm stop and food hub - it’s popular with pets and their owners, so we want to introduce ourselves ahead of the busy market season - and meet your furred/feathered/shelled/scaled babies!
Feel free to dress up for the occasion… Let’s see them costumed and decked out for this special day!
Don’t have a pet, or looking to add another? You’re in luck - the Jackson County Animal Shelter will be hosting an on-site adoption event! So if you’re looking to add a tiny heart to your family, stop on by and give a shelter animal a forever home 🐾
We’ll have a pet-themed craft for the kids, and a few great pet vendors on hand as well -
Need a pawdicure? Two Peas in a Pod will be joining us offering mobile pet grooming and nail trim services -
Fur Real will have for sale only the best dehydrated meat snacks for your pups -
Joyful Paws brings all natural baked treats for dogs (and a cat flavor, too!)
Baileys Bandanas will have all things fashion to get your bestie outfitted for summer fundays -
Canine Crochet brings all the cozy snuggly pet goods -
And keeping with the theme of the day, Big Mike of Wat a Sausage brings the hot dog cart for lunch!
Pets are welcome at this day’s open-air event, but safety is always our primary concern. Here’s a few rules for their attendance:
* Assumption of Risk: Attendees agree that bringing a pet involves risks, such as bites, injuries, or property damage, and that they voluntarily assume these risks.
* Release of Liability: Owners agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Grow Jackson, sponsors, and venue owners from any and all liability or claims arising from their pet’s actions.
* Indemnification: Attendees agree to indemnify Grow Jackson for any costs or expenses (including legal fees) incurred due to incidents involving their pets.
* Restraint Policy: Pets must be kept on a leash or contained at all times.
* Vaccinations: Pets must be up-to-date on all required vaccinations (rabies, distemper, parvo).
* Health Standards: Pets must be healthy, free from contagious diseases, and not in heat.
* Behavior and Socialization: Only well-socialized and non-aggressive pets are allowed. Aggressive pets or those showing signs of severe stress/fear (barking, biting) will be asked to leave.
* Supervision: Pets cannot be left unattended at any time, including in vehicles.
* Right to Refuse/Eject: Grow Jackson reserves the right to remove any attendee with an unruly, dangerous, or ill pet.
* Damage/Cleaning: Owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up after their pets.
* Photography/Media: By attending, owners grant Grow Jackson permission to take photos/videos of them and their pets for promotional purposes.
