When we think of extinction, we often think about it as some other type of species’ problem. But human species have gone extinct in the past. Odd as it seems now, we used to have multiple close relatives. Most animals do. So where have our relatives gone, and why did they die out? Was it something special about our species, Homo sapiens, that moved us forward? We’ll discuss our lost relatives and how we went on to succeed beyond all expectations across the globe.
