Petersfield Heath Conservation Session
About this Event
Join us on September 8th at 10:00am for a volunteer session coppicing around the Heath Pond. All tools will be provided, so just bring yourself ready to get stuck in!
Coppicing is an ancient woodland management technique. Willow benefits hugely from coppicing, cutting back mature branches to allow for new growth. This also prevents too much leaf litter building up in the pond.
Please remember to wear sturdy shoes, wellies recommended and long trousers to stay safe and comfortable while working.
We'll be meeting at the Sussex Road Car Park, free car parking available. Hope to see you there for some hands-on conservation fun!
