About this Event
This circular walk of around 5km from Castor to Water Newton takes in a stretch of the River Nene which harbours a wealth of damsel and dragonfly species. In June, Hairy Dragonflies will be coming to the end of their flight season whilst other hawkers, chasers and bluets will have recently emerged. We shall also seek the recently arrived Green-Eyed (aka Norfolk) Hawker among the 22 species recorded last year in Nene Park.
Park and meet at Nene Park Trust car park, Splash Lane, Castor. Beware - potholes on approach road! Grid ref: TL 1238 9799. w3w: contrived.sofa.emailed
