Wacks Wicked Plants are a small nursery based in North Yorkshire specialising in carnivorous plants, you may have seen them at shows where they are three times Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winners, and their nursery is also open for visitors having an excellent selection of plants for sale.
The business is run by Peter Walker and his partner Hellentje, ably supervised by their rescue lurcher Billy. The nursery originally started as a back garden enterprise and was moved to Scampston to allow the business to grow, Peter has worked in horticulture for most of his life, having trained in the UK and the Netherlands and has even worked as far afield as Azerbaijan.
The couple have a longstanding interest in carnivorous plants which are always immaculately presented with all the information needed for success if you should decide to make a purchase. They have also developed a compost especially suited to the plants and this too is for sale.
Refreshments, plants for sale and raffle.
Free entry for members.
£2 for guests.
Doors open at 7pm.
