Peter Pan

East Grand Rapids High School will bring Peter Pan to the stage November 19-21, 2026. This new twist on the classic story is a hilarious, thrilling, and moving exploration of what it means to “grow up” and demonstrates the power of imagination and storytelling.
When a young woman brings a box of childhood treasures to her attic, she discovers her old copy of Peter Pan. As she begins to read, the beloved story springs to life around her. She watches as the mischievous and eternally young Peter Pan whisks Wendy, John, and Michael Darling away to the magical world of Neverland, where they encounter the spirited Tinker Bell, the adventurous Lost Boys, and the fearsome Captain Hook with his band of pirates. Along the way, they embark on a journey filled with excitement, danger, and wonder.
This production offers a fresh theatrical spin on the classic tale: the entire story unfolds in an attic. Armed only with items from the attic (and their imaginations), the actors will create a nursery, a mermaid lagoon, the deck of a pirate ship, and more!
Performances will be in the EGRHS Performing Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. on November 19-20 and 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on November 21. Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for adults. Premium seating for $12 (students) and $16 (adults) is also available.
