Hello fellow sketchers!
We are going to the Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park in Petaluma.
Saturday, June 13, 2026... (My Birthday!) from 10am until 12:30PM.
We will meet in the parking lot and walk up to the Adobe house. Fee is $3. Parking is free. We can spread out and sketch and paint. The rangers ask that you do not use paint in the Adobe house itself. Pencil or ink inside, Outside is fine for painting.
This huge adobe building, the largest private rancho in California between 1834 and 1846, was the center of activity on one of the most prosperous private estates established during the Mexican period. The park has shaded picnic areas with views of farmland and oak-studded hills."
Weather looks like a few clouds, so wear layers. It could be cool in the morning, then turn hotter by mid-day. Bring your art supplies, hat, a small stool or chair is a good idea, lots of water, and a snack is recommended (unless you live close by). The park is a ways from the restaurants or grocery stores in Petaluma.
Any questions, please text me at 707-486-7683. See you there
