This paddle is all about timing—and twice the tidal magic.Join the **The Floathouse** crew for a relaxed, guided adventure that uses the **rising high tide to carry us upstream**, then turns back to **ride the tide out again** on the return. It’s one of the smoothest, most satisfying ways to explore the **Petaluma River**.
We’ll launch from our downtown dock and glide upstream as the water lifts us into quieter, greener reaches—where the river narrows, the sounds soften, and wildlife sightings are common. Along the way, our guides will point out birds, plants, and the subtle transitions from historic waterfront to natural habitat.
After soaking in the calm upstream stretch near peak tide, we’ll turn around and let the outgoing tide help carry us home—easy, flowing, and wonderfully serene.
