The Mighty Petals of Power w/ Amazing Special Guests The Incurables. Music starts early. Petals of Power are an eclectic amalgamation of players from the Junk Monkeys (Kevin Perri and Danny Allen), The Facts (Patrick Butler) and Happy Tom (Lucky Charms and the Pathetx). “ Detroit natives Petals Of Power are 1977 punks who can veer sideways into glam, play loud and brash, and have a lead singer so grating and strong he should call himself Tommy Rotten – B+” (Iman Lababedie from Rock New York City Live). Our platform is simple... we like hot rods, explosive music and corner bars!
THE INCURABLES have been commanding stages and issuing now hard-to-find indie records with the same high-school-forged lineup – cousins Ray and Darrin Lawson on bass and drums, along with their lifelong friends Pat Kelly and Dennis Pepperack on guitars – for over thirty years. If we're talking Detroit rock, The Incurables' blend of melody and muscle lands them squarely between The MC5 and The Romantics. Hearing them, it's hard to believe that it's taken this long for THE INCURABLES to achieve the breakthrough they've always deserved. But the payoff is that they've done so by sticking to their youthful blueprint and honing their chemistry to the garage-rock point of perfection.
