About this Event

*Seeds of Faith: Petals of Legacy

Journey into the past and reflect on the extraordinary women who stood firm in faith, sacrifice, courage, wisdom and devotion.

From mothers and scholars to warriors, poets, carers and women of deep trust in Allah, this series will explore the lives of remarkable women in Islamic history and the powerful lessons they leave for us today.

Each session will include a reflective halaqah, sisterhood, discussion and a creative activity connected to the theme of the month.

*Before You Book*

• This is a sisters-only space.

• Children under the age of 12 are welcome free of charge.

• To maintain teachings of the Quran and Sumnah boys aged 10 and over are unable to attend.

• Light lunch will be provided.

• All activity materials will be provided.

• Places are limited and subject to availability.

• Please book a ticket for each adult attending.

• Hawa (as) — the first of the first

• Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (ra) — the first wife and first believer

• Sumayyah bint Khayyat (ra) — the first female martyr

• Sawdah bint Zam‘ah (ra) — a heart content with Allah

Sunday 27th September

HALAQAH: Voices of Wisdom

Reflecting on the stories of:

• A’ishah bint Abi Bakr (ra) — the triumph of faith

• Hafsah bint Umar (ra) — an unexpected companionship

• Al-Khansa, Tumadir bint Amr (ra) — a woman of eloquence

• Barirah, mawla of A’ishah (ra) — from slavery to freedom

Sunday 25th October

HALAQAH: Hearts of Service

Reflecting on the stories of:

• Zaynab bint Khuzaymah (ra) — the mother of the poor

• Umm Salamah bint Abi Umayyah (ra) — heartbreak, patience and a miracle

• Zaynab bint Jahsh (ra) — worship, amanah and obedience

• Barakah bint Tha‘labah, Umm Ayman (ra) — “my mother after my own mother”

HALAQAH: Brave Hearts

Reflecting on the stories of:

• Juwayriyah bint Al-Harith (ra) — from tragedy to faith

• Safiyyah bint Huyayy ibn Akhtab (ra) — strength through change

• Nusaybah bint Ka‘b (ra) — courage on the battlefield

• Asiyah bint Muzahim (as) — the story of tawakkul

HALAQAH: Journeys of Devotion

Reflecting on the stories of:

• Ramlah bint Abi Sufyan (ra) — a transformative journey to Islam

• Maymunah bint Al-Harith (ra) — an affectionate heart

• Mariyah bint Sham‘un (ra) — strength in devotion

• Rufaydah Al-Aslamiyyah (ra) — care, service and leadership

HALAQAH: Daughters of Light

Reflecting on the stories of:

• Zaynab bint Muhammad (ra) — under the shade of the Beloved ﷺ

• Ruqayyah bint Muhammad (ra) — a blessing in disguise

• Umm Kulthum bint Muhammad (ra) — an image of her mother

• Fatimah bint Muhammad (ra) — the shining star
