Emergencies can happen when you least expect them—and knowing how to respond can make all the difference. Taught by certified CPR & First Aid Instructor Brittany Holsinger (Kinzua Canine), this comprehensive Pet CPR & First Aid class is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to act quickly and effectively in a crisis.
During this course, participants will learn:
• CPR and Rescue Breathing: Step-by-step instruction and practice on performing canine CPR and rescue breathing techniques.
• Emergency First Aid: How to respond to choking, bleeding, shock, seizures, poisoning, fractures, burns, and other urgent situations.
• Recognizing Emergencies: Early warning signs of distress and when to seek veterinary care immediately.
• Preventative Care & Preparedness: Tips on creating a pet first aid kit and reducing risks in everyday life.
This class combines lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice to ensure you leave with practical, usable skills. Whether you are a dog owner, pet sitter, trainer, groomer, or anyone who works with dogs, this training provides peace of mind and the ability to make a critical difference in your dog’s health and safety.
Important Notes:
• This class is for humans only -- please leave your pups at home!
• This is a 6 hour training. Please bring water and a lunch. We have a fridge and microwave available for use.
Certificate of Completion:
All participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the class, valid for 2 years, recognizing their training in Dog CPR and First Aid. This is a valuable credential for pet professionals and a source of confidence for pet owners.
By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with the tools and confidence to provide immediate, appropriate care in an emergency—care that may save your dog’s life.
