Join Florida Organic Growers (FOG), Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF), and the University of Florida for a workshop on Pest Management for Organic Farming Systems in Florida. Learn how to effectively manage pests in Florida’s unique growing conditions using proven organic strategies such as integrated pest management (IPM), crop rotation, habitat diversification, and beneficial insects to protect your crops while promoting soil health and biodiversity. Gain practical, region-specific insights from experts and connect with fellow growers committed to sustainable agriculture.

Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Understand core principles of IPM for organic systems
- Identify common Florida crop pests and recognize early signs of infestation
- Know how to apply practices to reduce and manage pest pressures
- Learn organic-approved control options and when to use them effectively
Please come prepared for outdoor farm conditions. We recommend wearing comfortable, weather‑appropriate clothing such as hats, sunglasses, close‑toed shoes, and sunscreen. Dressing for sun and uneven terrain will help ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience. Bringing a water bottle is also encouraged.
