The Long Beach Modern Quilt Guild (LBMQG) proudly presents Perspectives – A Fiber Art Exhibition, on view from October 8 through November 24, 2025, at the Zena and Pauline Gatov Gallery located inside the Alpert Jewish Community Center, 3801 E. Willow Street, Long Beach, California. The exhibit is free and open to the public during the JCC’s regular hours.Perspectives features a vibrant collection of quilts by LBMQG members and highlights a curated selection of miniature quilts from the guild’s Transition in Threads challenge. This special exhibit, Threads of Transition, explores each artist’s interpretation of change through modern mini quilts, using autumn as a metaphor for reflection, balance, and transformation.
Every quilt in the gallery is a handmade work of art—carefully crafted through pattern, color, texture, and thousands of stitches. These pieces tell personal stories and transform fabric into visual art through a wide range of techniques, symbols, and modern styles. The exhibition showcases the exceptional talent of guild members, many of whom have had work featured in national and international shows including Road to California and QuiltCon.
