With an impressive background as a former stylist at A Robert Cromeans Salon, Ira’s journey took a momentous turn when he joined Paul Mitchell in 2012. As a Global Educator specializing in haircutting, he traversed the globe, sharing his expertise and passion with hair professionals worldwide.

Throughout his illustrious career, Ira has garnered numerous awards and accolades, earning recognition from prestigious publications and esteemed industry events. Vegas Life Magazine named him the top hairdresser in both 2002 and 2003, while Be Mag honored him as one of the top 50 Platforms Artists in 2007. His talent and creativity were further showcased when he was featured on a Winn Claybaugh Masters CD. In 2021, Ira’s outstanding skills were recognized as he became a Southwest Hairstyling Awards Finalist for both Asian Hairstylist of the Year and Hairstylist of the Year. Additionally, he was honored with the Uncensored Beauty Icon Award by the Midwest Hairstyling Awards, solidifying his reputation as a visionary in the field.

Below noon focus ( line & graduation )

There are three technique option line, graduation and layer. First two are below noon so both build vertical weight into the hair! Layers take away vertical weight! In general i think it’s easy to take things away compared to proper building of things! Any one can demolish few and construct.

This focus is all that intentional construction! We build this line through the clock cutting method! We not only think in the box we cut in the box!

This line lesson focuses on cutting above the comb to create an “anti bevel” bob. It’s cut from corner to corner, literally in the shape of a house!

This grad lesson is about consistency, being present and always checking the roots for tension awareness!

When you start regularly cutting lines and grads some what easy like no bigs, yr confidence levels ascend! Clients love a confident hairdresser with empathy.
