With each event, we’ve witnessed the magic of the cosmos captivate audiences. From going deep at intimate private gatherings, to fast-paced, dynamic groups of thousands at large music festivals, the team at Celestial Experiences has been everywhere and seen it all. Our recent participation in Insomniac Events’ Nocturnal Wonderland festival (30k attendees) and Desert Hearts Festival (3k attendees) saw hundreds of participants peering through telescopes, day and night, observing celestial marvels while learning about our universe from our knowledgeable and enthusiastic team.

With a dedication to astronomy outreach and a contagious enthusiasm for space science, Katie excells as a science communicator. Drawing from nine years in public-facing roles at two high-profile oureach institutions, Katie draws from a wealth of experience in astronomy outreach. Her tenure as a science communicator and educator has shaped her expertise in making complex astronomical concepts accessible and engaging.

Through her outreach efforts at Griffith Observatory (2015) and Black Rock Observatory (2016), she has invited countless individuals to gaze at the stars with wonder and strives to foster an appreciation for the vastness and beauty of the universe.

As a lecturer and speaker, Katie shares her deep knowledge of the cosmos with diverse audiences, simplifying complex ideas and sparking curiosity. Her commitment to accessibility is evident in her engaging presentations tailored to audiences at various levels of familiarity with space science.

For small events, parties, galas, and intimate settings, this telescope is the perfect addition to the event. It can fit just about anywhere and follows the stars using an advanced mount and computer tracking system. Footprint of the activation can be as little as 5'x5', although 10'x10' is preferred.

Available as an add-on, Katie will bring the massive 20" telescope instead of the standard 5" mentioned above. This scope takes a LOT of time and skill to set up and use, and requires additional support staff. If you have a large event, or important people to impress, this telescope will deliver truly insane views. Footprint of the activation is necessarilly larger: 10'x10' could work, but 12'x15' is preferred. Setup for events with this telescope begins at 7pm. We will discuss logistics in detail once you book it.
