I'm delighted to be working in partnership with Pershore College and Warwickshire College Group to bring a major Jobs and Careers Fair to our area on Friday 26th June.
Between my office and the college, we have brought together more than 50 employers from across a wide range of sectors, all ready to meet local people looking for work, training opportunities, apprenticeships or their first step into a career.
For many young people, getting that first foot on the career ladder has never been tougher. Youth unemployment remains a significant challenge, and too many talented young people are struggling to connect with employers despite having the skills and ambition to succeed. That's why, as your MP, I am committed to doing everything I can to help create opportunities and bring employers and jobseekers together.
Whether you're a school leaver considering your next steps, a college student exploring career options, or someone looking for a new opportunity, this event is for you.
With around 70% of local businesses reporting recruitment challenges, this is also a chance to help tackle the skills gap while supporting local employers to find the workforce they need.
