Registration is now open for the Perseids Party Campout! This FREE camping event is open to all ages (anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). For the third year, TLGV is teaming up with CT Deep's No Child Left Inside program and the Friends of Pachaug Forest to provide you with a weekend of free fun activities. Of course, the Perseids, our largest meteor shower, are the stars of the show. But the weekend will also feature hikes, campfires with s'mores, crafts, STEM activities and much more! Kids will also be able to earn a series of Jr. Ranger badges and everyone can earn a letterboxing patch. To learn more visit the Perseids Party page on The Last Green Valley website where you can see a sample of last year's schedule to get an idea of the activities we will be offering. If you would love to come but don't have camping gear, contact Fran at [email protected] or call 860-774-3300. Between the three organizations, we may be able provide loaner gear. Camping is free at the Youth Camping Area and available on a first come, first served basis. If you have an RV, please reserve a site at the Mt. Misery Campground. Programs will be held in both the youth camping area and the field adjacent to the Mt. Misery Campground. They are walking distance from one another. If you reserve a spot, please let us know that you are coming by using the registration form or emailing [email protected]
