It is a gathering for women—a warm, intentional space to pause, reconnect, and give ourselves permission to become who we truly are.

In celebration of the launch of Permission to Become: The Path to Reclaim Your True Self, we’ll come together for an experience centered around emotional healing, self-trust, intuition, and reclaiming the parts of ourselves we were taught to leave behind.

This book was written especially for women navigating identity, belonging, inherited expectations, cultural conditioning, and the quiet journey of coming home to themselves.

About the book:

Permission to Become is an intimate and embodied guide for those ready to reclaim their true selves and live with greater truth, freedom, and wholeness. Drawing from meditation, somatic practices, ancestral inquiry, and lived experience, Joyce Bao invites readers to reconnect with their inner authority, soften inherited conditioning, and meet their emotions with presence and compassion. Rather than treating healing as something to fix, this book reframes it as an unfolding—an invitation to pause, trust your own knowing, and release who you were taught to be in order to become who you already are.

About the author:

JOYCE BAO is a 1.5-generation Chinese American author, writer, and product maker. She is a long-time meditator, yogi, sound bath practitioner, and podcast creator, and a lifelong seeker on the spiritual path of truth and self-realization. Her work centers on empowerment and healing, with a particular devotion to supporting women—especially women of color and immigrants navigating bi-cultural identities—to reclaim their inherent worth, voice, and power. Drawing from contemplative practices, embodied wisdom, and lived experience, Joyce creates spaces for deep inner inquiry, remembrance, and becoming. In her spare time, she can often be found attending retreats and workshops, meditating, practicing yoga, or spending time in nature. She currently resides in California.
