Perma-Blitz: Mushroom Log Innocculation

Perma-blitz’s are a chance to learn and care for the land by combining free ecological workshops with land stewardship! Join us for the first perma-blitz of the year with Eat More Mushrooms Project at the Forest Sanctuary where Luke and Kaya will be leading a workshop on inoculating logs with shiitake mushroom spawn. These logs will later be transported from the Forest Sanctuary to Red Fox Ravine where they will live out their days of fruitful and delicious decomposition. Attendees will rotate trying all aspects of inoculation (drilling, plugging with spawn, covering holes with wax) and also contributing to some spring land stewardship needs at the Forest Sanctuary.

Bring your hardest mushroom questions, rain gear if rain is in the forecast, and water!
