"Perlimps" is a magical, vivid adventure from acclaimed Brazilian animator Alê Abreu (The Boy and the World), a film that weaves together fantasy, courage, and hope. Set in an enchanted forest threatened by monstrous Giants, the story follows Claé and Bruô—secret agents from rival kingdoms, the Kingdom of the Sun and the Kingdom of the Moon. Though raised to see each other as enemies, they are sent on a joint mission: to locate the mysterious creatures known as the Perlimps, the only beings powerful enough to save their forest home. Throughout their journey, they must overcome mistrust, face danger, and confront the idea that perhaps they are more alike than they ever believed.The film bursts with color—lush, painterly 2D hand drawn animation—and a rich musical soundscape that underlines both the beauty and urgency of the story.
