Stress-reduction Strategies for Improving Resilience and WellbeingOver the last decade, rapid changes within organisations have caused a significant increase in people’s workload. These demands often manifest in a wide variety of stress-related symptoms including unhelpful reactions, increased exhaustion, fatigue, and burnout.
Daily stress-reduction and self-care strategies can make a big difference to personal well-being, resilience and performance, however, without professional training, these may remain haphazard and ineffective in the long-term. The Performance Under Pressure workshop works with individuals to help strengthen their team’s wellbeing culture. It presents practical strategies that can be used personally and professionally to improve reactions, resilience and recovery.
Learning outcomes
The Performance Under Pressure workshop will help people:
- Understand the sources, symptoms and ‘psychology of stress’ and why stress effects people so differently.
- Explore the impact of self-beliefs and habits and how they can keep us locked into unhelpful behaviours.
- Workshop a range of stress-reduction strategies to improve reactions, recovery and resilience at work and at home.
- Discuss ways to share and implement these ideas and strategies into our teams to help lift team performance and wellbeing.
The workshop is highly interactive, informative, and fun and a worthwhile investment of your time.
Duration
Half day, 8.30am – 12.30pm
Facilitator – Patrick Sherratt
Since 2004, Patrick Sherratt has taught individuals and teams personal effectiveness and well-being strategies that help achieve higher levels of performance and success.
With a Masters Degree in Education (Hons) and an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, Patrick travels across New Zealand and Australia and has worked in some the country’s leading businesses, organisations, hospitals and schools.
