Musikalische Performance
Die Performance ist als gegenseitige Improvisation zweier Künstler konzipiert und basiert auf einer Partitur aus mehreren französischen Redewendungen. Diese Ausdrücke stehen in keinem direkten Zusammenhang zueinander und dienen vor allem der inneren Arbeit der Ausführenden. Für Außenstehende jedoch wirken sie wie eine Art „Trick“: Die wörtliche Bedeutung der Worte ist irreführend und verbirgt einen anderen, eigentlichen Sinn.
In der Rolle des „Uneingeweihten“ tritt der Künstler Maxim Isaev auf, der jede Redewendung visuell interpretiert. Seinen Handlungen entspricht die musikalische Komposition von Alexei Aigui – eine emotionale Entschlüsselung des sprachlichen Rätsels. Dies bildet eine weitere Partitur der Performance – die musikalische. So verwandelt sich der Dialog zwischen Musiker und Künstler in einen Versuch, hinter den visuellen Bildern das Eigentliche zu entschlüsseln.
Die Performance nimmt Bezug auf das berühmte Gemälde „Die flämischen Sprichwörter“ von Pieter Bruegel dem Älteren und lädt das Publikum ein, selbst an der Entschlüsselung der musikalischen und visuellen Bilder teilzunehmen.
Die Performance findet im Rahmen des Kulturprogramms der Buchmesse Berlin Bebelplatz.
Die musikalische Performance wurde erstmals Ende November – Anfang Dezember 2025 in den baltischen Ländern und in Finnland präsentiert. Maxim Isaev und Alexei Aigui begegneten sich erstmals im Sommer 2025 in Frankreich, um die Performance Perdre Le Nord zu entwickeln.

Музыкальный перформанс
Перформанс задуман как взаимная импровизация двух артистов, основанная на партитуре из нескольких французских идиом. Эти выражения не связаны между собой и имеют смысл лишь для внутренней работы исполнителей. Для непосвящённого же они звучат как своеобразный «трюк»: буквальное значение слов обманчиво и скрывает иной, подлинный смысл.
В роли «непосвящённого» в перформансе выступает художник Максим Исаев, который визуализирует интерпретацию каждой идиомы. Его действиям соответствует музыкальная композиция Алексея Айги — эмоциональная расшифровка словесной загадки. Это еще одна партитура перформанса - музыкальная. Таким образом, диалог музыканта и художника превращается в попытку разгадать настоящее за визуальными образами.
Перформанс отсылает нас к известной картине Питера Брейгеля - ст. "Фламандские пословицы" и предлагает зрителям самим участвовать в расшифровке музыкальных и визуальных образов.
Перформанс проходит в рамках культурной программы книжной ярмарки Berlin Bebelplatz.
Музыкальный перформанс впервые был представлен в странах Балтии и Финляндии в конце ноября – начале декабря 2025 года. Максим Исаев и Алексей Айги впервые встретились во Франции летом 2025 года для создания перформанса Perdre Le Nord.

Perdre Le Nord | Losing One’s Bearings
Musical performance
The performance is conceived as a mutual improvisation between two artists, based on a score composed of several French idioms. These expressions are not directly connected and serve mainly as a tool for the performers’ internal work. For an uninitiated viewer, however, they may sound like a kind of “trick”: the literal meaning of the words is misleading and hides a different, true meaning.
In the role of the “uninitiated” within the performance is visual artist Maxim Isaev, who creates visual interpretations of each idiom. His actions are accompanied by a musical composition by Alexei Aigui — an emotional decoding of the verbal riddle. This forms another score of the performance — a musical one. Thus, the dialogue between the musician and the artist becomes an attempt to uncover what lies behind the visual images.
The performance refers to the famous painting “Netherlandish Proverbs” by Pieter Bruegel the Elder and invites the audience to take part in deciphering the musical and visual images.
The performance takes place as part of the cultural program of the Berlin Book Fair Bebelplatz.
The musical performance was first presented in the Baltic countries and Finland in late November – early December 2025. Maxim Isaev and Alexei Aigui first met in France in the summer of 2025 to create Perdre Le Nord.
