Meetinghouse Arts offers its first abstract show featuring 31 artists working in oil, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, stoneware, encaustic, assemblage and photography.
The exhibition highlights a range of approaches to abstraction and invites artists to consider how their work contributes to this ongoing visual dialogue. The Perceptions show offers our community of artists an opportunity to stretch the boundaries of their art practices. Whether they're exploring new ways of interpreting the Maine landscape or perhaps working in a fully non-representational language of color, shape, line, this show brings fresh vision to Meetinghouse Arts Gallery. We have been honored to have artist Jenny McGee Dougherty jury our first abstract art show.
Perceptions will be on display from September 12 through October 18 during regular gallery hours. An opening reception will be held on September 12 from 5:00-7:00.
