Join UCRRA and Beyond Plastics on Monday, February 9th, 2026 at the NY State Capitol in Albany to urge your state Legislators to put people over plastic by passing the Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act. This critical bill that was passed by the NY Senate in May 2025 will address the crisis of planet-warming, ocean-polluting, landfill-clogging, human health-harming single-use plastics by reducing them at the source while saving taxpayers money and providing support for recycling and reuse/refill efforts. You’ll hear from our organizers and legislative champions, and we’ll introduce everyone to team leaders and members. We’ll begin with a rousing rally, then spend the afternoon meeting with state legislators to urge them to pass this critical bill this session.
You will be part of a group with an experienced team leader, and we will provide you with talking points, memos, and information in advance.
