House of Waters is the confluence of multiple streams. With immersive studies in India, Senegal, Japan, the Americas, and beyond, House of Waters has synthesized a new and unique sound. For sixteen years, Max ZT (hammered dulcimer) and Moto Fukushima (six-string electric bass) have carefully crafted a combined voice. Their rare instrumentation allows for the two prolific composers to create a distinct sound, and a compelling and captivating style. Working with a rotating cast of drummers and percussionists and special guests over the years. For their latest, Grammy nominated, album, On Becoming, the duo was joined by special guests, the masterful Grammy winner, Antonio Sanchez on drums, jazz legend Mike Stern on guitar and Grammy nominated singer Priya Darshani on vocals.
This will be the band's first Chicago show since being nominated for a Grammy Award. House of Waters have shared the stage with Pandit Ravi Shankar, Victor Wooten, Tinariwen and toured the world supporting jazz supergroup Snarky Puppy. In addition to releasing music on the Snarky Puppy's Ground UP record label.
