Altan Muftuoglu is a dedicated mechanical and nuclear engineer currently serving as a technical specialist at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). He earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, followed by a Master's in Aerospace Engineering and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from Polytechnique Montreal. He has a keen interest in deterministic safety analysis and containment integrity analysis. In addition, Altan focuses on the regulation of future nuclear reactors in Canada, particularly Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). His expertise and commitment contribute significantly to advancing safe and innovative solutions in the nuclear energy sector.
Mike Banks is the Vice President of the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa (EVCO) and has been an EV owner since 2017. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Public Affairs and Policy from Carleton University and currently works as a data analyst with Statistics Canada. He's owned gas, diesel, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric vehicles and is a frequent user - and strong supporter of - public transit. He's also converted his house to climate-friendly technologies and removed his home's gas line.
Graham Findlay is the General Manager 3G Energy Corp, and has had a varied and stimulating career as an engineer doing hydro-electric operations, an institutional financier, a real estate developer, and for the last 16 years he has been active in Canada’s renewable energy industry. In 2002, Graham co-founded Vector Wind Energy Inc (TSX: VWE) and launched wind energy projects in 10 Canadian provinces, constructed 3 wind projects in Nova Scotia and won competitive energy bids in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. In 2007 Vector Wind Energy was purchased by a large Canadian energy company and Mr. Findlay then co-founded 3G Energy Corp, an Ottawa-based energy project advisory company. 3G Energy has worked on many wind and solar projects as well as a wind farm owned by the M’Chigeeng First Nation on Manitoulin Island in Ontario. Graham also served on the Board at OREC (orec.ca).
