Topic:
Water Sustainability
Living in the Niagara region, entre les deux lacs, water is unlikely to be one of our most significant concerns. However, over the centuries and particularly the last 100 years, mankind has steadily squandered this unique and critical resource and many are on the doorstep of a global water crisis. From the Great Barrier Reef to the Aral Sea, from California’s Central Valley to the Love Canal in Buffalo and even in Burlington Bay, our impact on this wonderful blue planet is not a passing grade on our stewardship. As the 21st century unfolds, water will become an increasingly critical issue and it will be imperative that we minimize our water footprint and embrace water sustainability fully.
