PEO Mississauga: Powering Possibilities - Women Leading in Engineering

PEO Mississauga Chapter Women in Engineering Committee would like to invite you to join us for a two part presentation on October 2, 2025.
Jennifer Quaglietta, MBA, P.Eng., ICD.D, CHE, PMP, LSSGB, CEO & Registrar, Professional Engineers Ontario will share her inspiring personal career journey and highlight the diverse career pathways available to engineers.

Yasmin Abdelazim, EIT, Project Manager at Ontario Power Generation; Executive member of Women in Nuclear- Durham Chapter will discuss her career path and provide insights into leading the multimillion-dollar refurbishment project at the Pickering Power Plant.

Bibliography of Jennifer:

Jennifer Quaglietta is the CEO & Registrar of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), where she is leading the organization through a historic enterprise-wide transformation towards becoming a modern regulator that serves and protects the public interest. Since joining PEO in 2023, she has set the organization on a path to regulatory excellence through her ‘people first’ approach to leadership, focusing on staff engagement and building a culture of learning and belonging. Jennifer is steering PEO through its 2023-2025 Strategic Plan, which includes a major digital transformation and improvements to PEO’s licensing processes. Jennifer has been recognized provincially and nationally: she is a recipient of the 2023 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award, 2022 Robert Zed Young Health Leader Award and 2021 Not-for-Profit CIO of the Year Award.

Bibliography of Yasmin:

Yasmin Abdelazim is currently a Project Manager at Ontario Power Generation. She has supported OPG since 2023 and has worked on various nuclear projects. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with an undergraduate honors degree in Chemical Engineering.
