A medicine circle is something to come to for change, transformation, growth and going inside because you’re ready to be responsible for the life you’re creating. It will lift you and bolster you to go places you can’t go outside the circle. The term; ‘medicine’ implies you’re ready to take something that is now called for, and sometimes that’s difficult, but you will feel it’s possible when communing with many other like-minded souls. Each medicine circle becomes easier as you come back into your own strength and self-clarity, likened to remembering who you are. This is a shaman-facilitated experience where you get to be heard and acknowledged. A compassionate interchange where your strengths are valued and put to good use in this amazing experience. A ‘spirit-directed medicine.’ It is an experience of connecting in person and communing in spirit, outside of time and space, to gain personal insight, resolve, and move forward.
This medicine circle is about learning how to journey to heal or transform yourself and gain insight into the more subtle aspects of your day-to-day experiences—understanding how you create the good and bad in life over days and decades, moving and evolving these energies, habits and unconscious aspects. To consciously disrupt the energies, habits and patterns that disrupt your life.
We teach you how to journey like a shaman, to understand what you are experiencing in the journey, and to begin to understand the symbology of your inner world. It deepens your experience of yourself.
Brad(shaman) and Caroline’s Naturistic Shamanic tradition shares with people a core shamanic experience free of ceremony and ritual. The very engine of this shamanic experience is in this concept of "connecting and communing", which is tens of thousands of years old. Brad was given this by his female healing lineage early in his shamanic apprenticeship, which started in 2012. The lineage decided it was time to come forward through him.
Caroline, when she can join us, channels Mother Sha-Riah, a loving and compassionate but formidable ancestor of Brad’s, who lived on the plains of Siberia thousands of years ago. She was initiated as a shaman early in life and lived long in that role, outliving her friends and their children. Like the rest of her lineage, she is keenly interested in the human group as a healer, and we draw and share the different experiences and perspectives Mother Sha-Riah offers.
This type of medicine circle has run almost monthly in Cairns since 2015 and in Sydney several times a year (200+ public events). We drum, sing, shamanise and move energies. Such a long-standing circle encounters many things and many people and ancestors. This rich developing experience is shared with the fine people of Penrith and the Nepean Region.
Group sizes are under ten people; this gives us enough time to explore intentions and journey experiences and their interpretation. The people who get the most out of this medicine are those over 40 years old or who have endured a demanding life experience. These people will know.
Shamanic work gives you what is needed, not necessarily what you think you want. So, it provides a great way to break out unseen life patterns and cycles that limit or inhibit a fuller, more meaningful and nourishing existence.

- some journey bedding, like a yoga matt, a small pillow and a shawl for comfort and dignity
- a resolve to know and relish yourself deeply
- a journal to write your notes
