Pencak Silat is a comprehensive Indonesian martial art that integrates strikes, kicks, grappling, throws, and weapon techniques. This seminar provides an introduction to foundational techniques and principles, emphasizing the strategic advantages and limitations of each movement. Training will cover:
• Throws
• Takedowns
• Submission holds.
• Ground fighting (including transitions between ground and standing)
• Edged weapon defense overview
Participants should wear comfortable attire. Prior experience in falling techniques is helpful but not required. The workshop is open to all skill levels, including beginners and experienced practitioners. Recommended for adults and mature youth. $40 per person; $35 for additional family members from the same household.
