Pre-requisite: 1- hour asynchronous anatomy recording must be viewed prior to the in-person event. A link to the video will be sent 1 week prior to the course.

Go beyond 2D images and models and strengthen your clinical treatment of pelvic floor disorders. This multimodal educational experience will explore the body structures of the pelvic region with an emphasis on utilizing anatomic knowledge to inform assessment and treatment. This course includes asynchronous and in person didactic as well as hands-on cadaver exploration elements.

Cadaver exploration is an immersive learning environment where practitioners can deepen their understanding of human anatomy and how the body systems work together. The hands-on component, combined with clinical case application, ensures that participants receive a comprehensive understanding and improve clinical decision making.

A small group setting allows for personalized learning and ample instructor feedback.

Course Objectives:

  • Identify the structures of the pelvic region on cadaveric prosections.
  • Describe the function of pelvic floor muscles with interrelated body systems.
  • Understand the effects of surgery, disease, and injury for pelvic related dysfunctions.
  • Use anatomy knowledge to improve clinical evaluative skills and apply to treatment interventions.
  • Correlate clinical presentations and learned anatomy to theorize medical history of the prosected cadaver.
