Dear friend, family and musical colleagues
On August 30, 2024 I turned 50 years old. I was out of town all summer but now I’m back. In the spirit of change, I’ve decided to cut my afro off. I’ve had my hair like this for 30 years. On October 25, 2024 I will be having a “hair cut” party called Peluca Pelusa, where each one of you can take a turn and cut a piece of my hair until I am hairless.
The process is simple. In the following weeks, some of you will receive a “hair cutting” invitation personally. If you’re available and interested, your name will be written on an index card and placed into a box. The index cards will be selected one at a time. As your name gets called by one of the 4 hosts, you will proceed to do an 8 second dance as you go up to cut a small piece of my hair.
Apart from the hair cut part I will have live musical performance from Electric Kif and Beatmachines. Dj LeSpam, Galactic Effect and Ydiz will be the musical selectors throughout the night. I will also have comedian Brittany Brave do a set. The hosts for the evening will be Sean “Birdman” Gould, Cuci Amador, Sam Savage and Bill Le. The event will be held at Skatebird Miami. The event starts at 8:08pm. The “haircut” is from 9:09pm - 11:11pm. DJ LeSpam will be spinning during the haircut. The rest of the acts will perform after the haircut.
